Moving Tips & FAQ

We aim to make your move as stress-free as possible. As a result, we have put together some useful moving tips to help you prepare for the big move.

There are also some useful FAQs to answer any questions you may have.

Get a Removal Quote

The first thing you need to do is get a removal quote and find out if there is availability on the day you intend to move. Either call us or fill out our handy online quotation form. If you are local, we will send out one of our expert removal team members who will assess the number of items you need moving so we can provide a fixed quotation. We also offer an hourly rate which is ideal for small, local moves.

Confirm Your Booking

Once you have a moving date set and wish to book our removal services, please contact us to confirm your booking. We advise booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Access Issues

Our team are happy to go above and beyond to ensure your moving day runs smoothly. However, if you know of any access issues, please tell us in advance. We need to know what floor your property is on if it is in a block, if there is limited parking, parking restrictions, steps to the ground floor level or if the higher floors are only accessible by lift.

Clear Out Junk

There is nothing more annoying than moving a load of old clutter that you no longer need. We advise sorting through all your belongings well in advance of your moving date to declutter so that you only move the things you really need. If you need assistance with this, get in touch to arrange our clearance services.

Packing

Please ensure all your belongings are packed in advance so that when we arrive we can load up the lorry or removal van straight away. Use appropriately sized strong boxes and bubble wrap to ensure your belongings are safe during transit. If required we can provide packing materials and a packing service as part of your contract for a complete hassle-free moving experience.

We advise that any flat-packed furniture is dismantled before the move, as usually flat-packed furniture will travel better when dismantled. If required, our team can dismantle and reassemble your furniture, so get in touch to arrange this service.
